Social Gatherings

So, at the Kelley School of Business, we have a lot of opportunities to get involved and engaged in a number of things. For example, I'm a member of the Student Admissions Council and am a graduate assistant for MBA admissions; I'm also a member of the marketing club, the wine club, and am now a peer coach for some of the Consumer Marketing Academy first year students. But, my favorite thing to do and get involved in is probably the 'wind-down' at the end of the week. We have what's called a D-Bar (designated bar or restaurant) that the MBA students are invited to congregate at and socialize. It's a great way for the students to mingle and get to know each other better, and frankly do some intra (and inter) class networking. But, most of all, it's fun! It's great to go out on a Friday night and see your friends and maybe have a beer while relaxing after what was likely a week full of homework, team projects, club duties, and more.

I'm very much looking forward to hitting up the Bluebird for some Hairbanger's Ball (amazing 80's cover band) this weekend! This is what the MBA social life is all about...
